As a part of amazingly talented Zsuzsa Karoly-Smith's creative blogging weekly link party, Sunday Sentiments, the sentiment I'm sharing with you today is:
"Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!" Psalm 107:2
This verse comes from God's Word in the Psalms which I love! I am His redeemed whom He delivered out of the hand of the enemy! If we have been reconciled back to the Father through the precious blood of His Son, Jesus, then we ARE the redeemed! As such, we should not only say so, but SHOUT it!
I think of my youngest daughter who frequently has nightmares and I tell her that there is NO fear in Christ. She has victory over that fear because of the work on the cross! We HAVE BEEN redeemed out of the hand of the enemy! That means NOTHING he can do can hold a candle to the power we have OVER HIM through the blood of Christ! We CAN DO ALL THINGS through Christ who strengthens us! We have been given the power and authority to trample on serpents heads! That is a SIGNIFICANT promise for believers to understand and grasp a hold of! Be encouraged and strengthened this week, you redeemed of the Lord!
I shared this journal spread on Google+ sometime back, but had not put it on my blog, so many of you have seen it! As I can't upload on the weekends because I do not have internet at my home, I will share on Monday's for the week!
Thanks Zsuzsa for another way to share our creativity and thoughts!
Blessings!
I haven't seen this one yet, Felicia, thanks for sharing and participating! Sunday Sentiments runs for the whole week, so you can upload any time during the week! There's so much going on in your layout! It's all gorgeously distressed and scrumptiously messy! I love those textures! Redemption is a very powerful word and your faith is incredibly strong, anybody can see that! It's great how your daughter was able to overcome her nightmares with your help through her belief in Christ.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much sweet Zsuzsa! I had so much fun doing this one because I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Too right...redemption is a powerful word! I'm thankful every day for it! I'm glad it was ok to submit today, thank you for letting me know! I should be more careful about reading..LOL!! You are the sweetest! Thank you again! Blessings! :)
DeleteBeautiful, Felicia. I love the composition with the cross front and centre, exactly where it should be :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much sweet Tracy! I agree FRONT AND CENTER!! Blessings to you! :)
DeleteAlthough the theme is not really my cup of tea, it's a lovely spread with a gorgeous background.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by! Blessings! :)
DeleteThis is wonderful, Felicia. I LOVE your cross, with all the wonderful texture and the backround too. Love how you've got redemption on the cross.
ReplyDeleteThank you my sweet friend, Susan! I really enjoyed doing this page. I had actually done a canvas for someone last year for Christmas that gave me the idea for this. I loved what I did for her and wanted it for myself (how awful is that!! LOL), so this is where this spread in my journal came from! Maybe I redeemed myself! LOL, LOL! Thank you again my friend and many blessings to you! :)
