WOYWW #430

Good Wednesday all my crafty friends.....and it's WOYWW with Julia over on Stampin Ground! Time to snoop around and see how much more productive folks are being than me!!! LOL It's not hard to do these days! My art desk asks for my I.D. any more when I come around! LOL

I have been arting when I can these days. For those that have visited here at all, you know I have been dealing with the parents as of late!! I don't say that in a harsh way! Both of my parents are elderly, my dearest Papa more than my mother. My dad landed in hospital AGAIN and has been there for two weeks, which was why you guys didn't see me last week! We finally were able to break him out of that place yesterday and transfer him to a Rehabilitation Center so that he can get back to his good old self! We are in high hopes! My father is 90, very independent, and determined to get back home, so we shall see! Keep us in your prayers.

As I have been in and out as of late, I have worked on bits here and there and if I could ever manage to sit for more than a few, then I might get a full project done! LOLOL As it were, I have had these ATC's on my desk working on them a minute here and there. Like tags, I love working on ATC's. I wish I were as creative as some of the fantastic ATC artists out there, but I just piddle and have fun!

This go around, I decided to do a sixlet. I just taped them all
together, gesso'd them and then just pulled out a hodge podge of paint and just started swiping. After I was happy with my color choices, I just pulled out some background stamps and with no real thought just stamped here and there with Archival Ink in black.

I have a file with lots of different vintage photos in them (I love vintage, but I'm not too clever with them) so I just went through and pulled out a few and had fun. I haven't finished all six, as I said, I've been in and out, but I have three finished to show you today!

Ok my crafty friends, let it be said that I am NOT "techi" AT ALL!! So I have a situation that I want to throw out there that I KNOW somebody HAS TO KNOW how to solve!! Since I use "Blogger" for my blog and since we NO LONGER can use Picasa for our picture upload/edit, I do it straight from my computer, but HOW ON EARTH do you rotate a picture in Blogger? It is rotated on my computer, but when I upload it to Blogger (hence the above picture on the right) it turns it upright! Now, all I can say to that, after a WHOLE LOT of trying EVERYTHING, is what they say in the cartoons...."&%#$^&^%$%$%()*&*" LOLOL

Now, if any of you can solve that little ditty for me, I'm willing to send you a little love from my home to yours! Just comment below and I will make it so! :)

Well, I'm off to snoop around on fellow crafter blog posts and I am SURE I will find some wonderful goodies! I love getting to know so many of you talented people and thanks in advance for stopping in and always leaving such encouraging words!

Blessings to you today!!!

  1. Hi Felicia. Trust your dad recovers well. My own dad is in his final few days, I think. Certainly his doctor thinks this, as do my brother and I. He is 96, been on his own 10years, and is now just wanting to go Home to Father God.
How to solve the blogger issue? No idea at all, as even though I have a blogger profile, I don't run my website through blogger. I do everything in and through Serif.
Well done on the three finished ATCs. A few minutes here and there is sometimes all we get, isn't it, so it's good to work on small things at times like that.
    Take care. God bless.

    1. Margaret, my thoughts are with you! I so understand where you are right now. My father has been on his own for so long and wants to remain that way, but he is at the point that he needs assisted living. He doesn't want to face it, but that's the reality. Blessings for your father! Thanks for your kind words on my ATC's!! Small things aren't so bad! LOLOL God bless you and thank you so much for stopping in! :)

  2. Hi Felicia, I don't have any problems with my photos in blogger. I sort them with my picture editing program which comes with windows, save them and then upload them to blogger using the little picture icon. Make sure you have saved them as the rotated version and deleted any other copies and see if that works. You won my tag! I don't know which one to send you as you didn't express a preference. If you manage to find my WOYWW 429 post you can see the choices and find my email address to send me your choice and snail mail addy. Glad your dad is settled where he is for the moment. Sarah #13

I can't believe I won you tag!! Woop Woop! I will definitely check back on your blog! I'm so excited and can't wait to have a "Sarah Original!" I will email you my choice! Many blessings to you and thank you for stopping in!

  6. Hi Felicia. Glad things are settling down a bit with your parents. It's really hard to watch the go down hill. Just praying your dad does make it home to be independent again. When I transfer pictures to my computer, I scroll them to see how they look. If there happens to be any that rotated wonky, I will reposition them with the rotate button and save them that way. I can also crop them if need be or do whatever I want to do, then they are ready to pop on the blog. I usually save those pictures in a folder marked"blog pics", that way I know which ones are which. Your atc's are realm beauties!!! hugs, patty

    1. Patty, thank you so much for sharing how you manage your photos. I will have to go back through the steps and make sure I try all that! I may just have to get a program geared specifically to handle photos if that doesn't work! THank you so much for your sweet words on my parents. Our hope is to get Papa independent again so as to go into assisted living, but he has to do his part. Sometimes they give up, but I pray he doesn't!! Thanks for the encouragement and as always, stopping in! Many, many blessings to you! :)

  7. Hope your Dad recovers and gets home soon. I think blogger just likes to play with us... I don't have the problem though, once I've rotated in my computer it seems to stay that way.. perhaps I'm just lucky! Thanks for stopping by (I think I was in the phone shop a little under an hour, so did well) Helen #1

  8. Felicia, I almost forgot about this on line pic editor. I use it quite a lot too. It's easy and simple, or at least it was. Try it out when you get a few minutes to tinker with it. I just created a shortcut and put it on my home screen and when I need to do something, it's there and easy to get to.

try it out when you get a chance, it just may be what you are looking for. hugs, patty

  11. Hi Felicia. I will indeed keep you and your parents in my prayers, and hope all goes well for your father. I love the ATCs. As others have said, I rotate any pictures before I upload to blogger, and that seems to work ok. Have a lovely week, Heather #25

    1. Awww, thank you so much Heather! Yes, I rotate and save my photos before I upload as well, but somehow or another Blogger flips them (not always, but sometimes) when I try to upload them! Oh well, I will keep at it! LOLOL Have a great weekend and thank you for stopping in! Blessings

  13. I rotate my picture in Picasa, then save it to my computer. I do all my editing in Picasa, then save to my computer. I love your background pages, and they worked so well on the ATC's! I'm doing something similar with my mop up papers!
Have a great week, thanks for your visit! Lindart #35

    1. Thanks for stopping in Linda. I used to do it in Picasa, but I didn't think you could do it anymore? I had a free account, maybe you are paying? I'm going to keep at it!! LOL I think using the mop up papers will be awesome!! I can't wait to see what you do! Sometimes, they are the BEST! Blessings to you!

  14. Hi Felicia, like many of the others, I use Microsoft Office Picture Manager, and just rotate them in there, they seem to stay the same then when I add them to Blogger. If you don't have Office, there are a number of free photo editing programs available, just try a Google search. Late visiting the second half of the list, had real trouble with my shoulder. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #3 X

  15. Hi Felicia, sorry I haven't been able to visit - I've been off-grid for a couple of weeks, but we finally got the internet going and life is slowly getting back to normal. Love your clever trick of sticking the ATCs together like that! Your use of the vintage images is very creative! They're so different from each other but the background ties them together. Hope your dad is doing better now and will be able to live independently as long as possible. Best wishes, zsuzsa xx

  17. Hello my sweet friend!
Oh dear Felicia, I guess I have not been around that much anymore either as I had no idea about your folks! I am so terribly sorry to hear this, I will keep you all in my prayers and will send out wishes for healing and all that is well!
You are lucky to have them at these ages and still so strong willed, you come from good genes my friend, you will have a long life as well!

I have to say, for not being able to play much, you nailed it on these atc's- i was laughing my head off at the big head gal!! And the children climbing is adorable!

Thank you so much for your visit, you always say the nicest things and make my heart filled with joy!
love and blessing to you and your family,
    Jackie xx
